4Now John wore aa garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was blocusts and cwild honey.

Matthew 3:7-12

7But when he saw many of dthe Pharisees and eSadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, f“You brood of gvipers! Who warned you to flee from hthe wrath to come? 8Bear fruit iin keeping with repentance. 9And do not presume to say to yourselves, j‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from kthese stones to raise up children for Abraham. 10Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. lEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

11 mI baptize you with water nfor repentance, but ohe who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you pwith the Holy Spirit and qfire. 12His rwinnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and sgather his wheat into the barn, tbut the chaff he will burn with uunquenchable fire.”

Matthew 14:4
