Matthew 3:8-10

8Bear fruit ain keeping with repentance. 9And do not presume to say to yourselves, b‘We have Abraham as our father,’ for I tell you, God is able from cthese stones to raise up children for Abraham. 10Even now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. dEvery tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:16-20

16You will recognize them eby their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17So, fevery healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 gEvery tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20Thus you will recognize them hby their fruits.

Luke 3:9

Luke 6:43-44

A Tree and Its Fruit

43For jno good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, 44for keach tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.

John 15:4-7

4 lAbide min me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5I am the vine; nyou are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that obears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not abide in me phe is thrown away like a branch and withers; qand the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7If ryou abide in me, and my words abide in you, sask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

James 3:12

12Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.
