Jesus Ministers to Great Crowds

23 aAnd he went throughout all Galilee, bteaching in their synagogues and cproclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and dhealing every disease and every affliction among the people. 24So his fame spread throughout all eSyria, and fthey brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and gpains, hthose oppressed by demons, ithose having seizures, and jparalytics, and he healed them. 25 kAnd great crowds followed him from Galilee and the lDecapolis, and from Jerusalem and Judea, and from beyond the Jordan.

Jesus Heals Many

14 mAnd when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw nhis mother-in-law lying sick with a fever. 15He otouched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him. 16That evening they brought to him many who were poppressed by demons, and he cast out the spirits qwith a word and healed all who were sick. 17 rThis was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: sHe took our illnesses and bore our diseases.”

Jesus Heals a Man with an Unclean Demon

31 tAnd he uwent down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And vhe was teaching them won the Sabbath, 32and xthey were astonished at his teaching, yfor his word possessed authority. 33And zin the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34Ha!

abWhat have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? acI know who you areadthe Holy One of God.”
35But Jesus aerebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm. 36And afthey were all amazed and said to one another, “What is this word? agFor with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!” 37And ahreports about him went out into every place in the surrounding region.

Jesus Heals Many

38 aiAnd he arose and left the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. Now ajSimon’s mother-in-law was ill with a high fever, and they appealed to him on her behalf. 39And he stood over her and akrebuked the fever, and it left her, and immediately she rose and began to serve them.

40Now when the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to him, and alhe laid his hands on every one of them and healed them. 41 amAnd demons also came out of many, ancrying, “You are aothe Son of God!” But he rebuked them and apwould not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was aqthe Christ.

Jesus Preaches in Synagogues

42 arAnd when it was day, he departed and went asinto a desolate place. And atthe people sought him and came to him, and would have kept him from leaving them, 43but he said to them, auI must avpreach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.” 44And he was preaching awin the synagogues of Judea.
