Dorcas Restored to Life

36Now there was in dJoppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas.
The Aramaic name  Tabitha and the Greek name  Dorcas both mean gazelle
She was full of fgood works and acts of charity.

Acts 10:22

22And they said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and gGod-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by ha holy angel to send for you to come to his house and ito hear what you have to say.”

Timothy Joins Paul and Silas

came also to Derbe and to Lystra. A disciple was there, named kTimothy, lthe son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek.
2He was well spoken of by mthe brothers
Or  brothers and sisters; also verse 40
at Lystra and Iconium.
3Paul wanted Timothy to accompany him, and he otook him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.
