The Beatitudes

2And ahe opened his mouth and taught them, saying:

3 bBlessed are cthe poor in spirit, for dtheirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4Blessed are ethose who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5Blessed are the fmeek, for they gshall inherit the earth.

6Blessed are those who hunger and hthirst ifor righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

7Blessed are jthe merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

8Blessed are kthe pure in heart, for lthey shall see God.

9Blessed are mthe peacemakers, for nthey shall be called osons

10 qBlessed are those who are persecuted for righteousnesssake, for rtheirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 sBlessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely ton my account. 12 uRejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for vso they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 12:49-50

49And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, Here are my mother and my brothers! 50For wwhoever xdoes the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

Mark 3:34-35

34And ylooking about at those who sat around him, he said, Here are my mother and my brothers! 35 zFor whoever aadoes the will of God, he is my brother and sister and mother.”
