Matthew 5:34
34But I say to you, aDo not take an oath at all, either by heaven, for bit is the throne of God,Matthew 23:16
16“Woe to cyou, dblind guides, who say, e‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’Matthew 23:18
18And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by fthe gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’Hebrews 6:16
16For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes gan oath is final for confirmation.
