2 Corinthians 1:18-20

18 As surely as ^cGod is faithful, ^dour word to you has not been Yes and No. 19 For ^ethe Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed among you, ^fSilvanus and Timothy and I, was not Yes and No, but ^gin him it is always Yes. 20 For ^hall the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our ⁱAmen to God for his glory.

James 5:12

12 But above all, my brothers, ^jdo not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
