Matthew 5:44-45

44But I say to you, aLove your enemies and bpray for those who persecute you, 45 cso that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and dsends rain on the just and on the unjust.

John 13:35

35 eBy this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 15:8

8 fBy this my Father is glorified, that you gbear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

1 John 3:10-14

10By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, hnor is the one who idoes not love his brother.

Love One Another

11For jthis is the message that you have heard from the beginning, kthat we should love one another. 12We should not be like lCain, who was of the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? mBecause his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous. 13Do not be surprised, brothers,
Or  brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church; also verses 14, 16
othat the world hates you.
14We know that pwe have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. Whoever does not love abides in death.

1 John 4:7-11

God Is Love

7Beloved, qlet us love one another, for love is from God, and rwhoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 sAnyone who does not love does not know God, because tGod is love. 9In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that uGod sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10In this is love, vnot that we have loved God wbut that he loved us and sent his Son to be xthe propitiation for our sins. 11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
