Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 a“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where bmoth and rust
Or worm; also verse 20
destroy and where thieves dbreak in and steal,
20 ebut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Luke 12:33

33 fSell your possessions, and ggive to the needy. hProvide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with ia treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Luke 16:9

9And I tell you, jmake friends for yourselves by means of kunrighteous wealth,
Greek mammon, a Semitic word for money or possessions; also verse 11; rendered money in verse 13
so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.


Acts 2:44-45

44And all who believed were together and mhad all things in common. 45And nthey were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.

Acts 4:34-37

34 oThere was not a needy person among them, for pas many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold 35and qlaid it at the apostlesfeet, and rit was distributed to each as any had need. 36Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas (which means sson of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus, 37sold a field that belonged to him and brought the money and tlaid it at the apostlesfeet.

1 Timothy 6:18-19

18They are to do good, uto be rich in good works, to be generous and vready to share, 19thus wstoring up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may xtake hold of ythat which is truly life.
