Matthew 6:19-21

Lay Up Treasures in Heaven

19 a“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where bmoth and rust
Or worm; also verse 20
destroy and where thieves dbreak in and steal,
20 ebut lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 12:18-20

18And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my fbarns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up gfor many years; relax, heat, drink, be merry.”’ 20But God said to him, iFool! jThis night kyour soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, lwhose will they be?’

Luke 12:33

33 mSell your possessions, and ngive to the needy. oProvide yourselves with moneybags that do not grow old, with pa treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Luke 16:9-13

9And I tell you, qmake friends for yourselves by means of runrighteous wealth,
Greek mammon, a Semitic word for money or possessions; also verse 11; rendered money in verse 13
so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.

10 t“One who is ufaithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. 11If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? 12And if you have not been faithful in vthat which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? 13 wNo servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
