12So awhatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is bthe Law and the Prophets.

Matthew 19:18-19

18He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, c“You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19Honor your father and mother, and, dYou shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 22:39-40

39And ea second is like it: fYou shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 gOn these two commandments depend hall the Law and the Prophets.”

Romans 13:8-10

Fulfilling the Law Through Love

8 iOwe no one anything, except to love each other, for jthe one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9For the commandments, k“You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: l“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore mlove is the fulfilling of the law.

James 2:8-11

8If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, n“You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. 9But if you oshow partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point phas become guilty of all of it. 11For he who said, q“Do not commit adultery,” also said, r“Do not murder.” If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
