Matthew 7:7-11

Ask, and It Will Be Given

7 aAsk, band it will be given to you; cseek, and you will find; dknock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9Or which one of you, if his son asks him for ebread, will give him fa stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11If you then, gwho are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will hyour Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 10:35-36

35 iFor I have come jto set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 kAnd a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.
