Jesus Cleanses a Leper

1When he came down from the mountain, agreat crowds followed him. 2 bAnd behold, a leper
Leprosy was a term for several skin diseases; see Leviticus 13
came to him and dknelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.”
3And Jesus

stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
4And Jesus said to him, fSee that you say nothing to anyone, but go, gshow yourself to the priest and hoffer the gift that Moses commanded, ifor a proof to them.”

12While he was in one of the cities, jthere came a man full of leprosy.

And when he saw Jesus, he lfell on his face and begged him, “Lord, mif you will, you can make me clean.”

14And he charged him oto tell no one, but go and show pyourself to the priest, and qmake an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, rfor a proof to them.” 15 sBut now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. 16But the would withdraw to desolate places and upray.
