Micah 3:1-3

Rulers and Prophets Denounced

1 And I said:
^aHear, you heads of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel!
^bIs it not for you to know justice?—
2 you ^cwho hate the good and love the evil,
^dwho tear the skin from off my people ^{▼▼Hebrew from off them}
and their flesh from off their bones,
3 ^fwho eat the flesh of my people,
and flay their skin from off them,
and break their bones in pieces
and chop them up like meat in a pot,
like flesh in a cauldron.

Micah 3:11

11 ^gIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
^hits priests teach for a price;
ⁱits prophets practice divination for money;
^jyet they lean on the Lord and ^ksay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
^lNo disaster shall come upon us.”

Zechariah 7:9-11

9 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ^mRender true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another, 10 ⁿdo not oppress the widow, the fatherless, the sojourner, ^oor the poor, and ^plet none of you devise evil against another in your heart.” 11 But ^qthey refused to pay attention ^rand turned a stubborn shoulder and stopped their ears that they might not hear. ^{▼▼Hebrew and made their ears too heavy to hear}

Malachi 3:5

5 “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be ^ta swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those ^uwho oppress the hired worker in his wages, ^vthe widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

James 2:6

6 But you ^whave dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who ^xdrag you ^yinto court?

James 5:4

4 Behold, ^zthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and ^aathe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of ^abthe Lord of hosts.
