“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
^gNo disaster shall come upon us.”

^hZion shall be plowed as a field;

Warning to the Rich

1 Come now, ^wyou rich, weep and howl for the ^xmiseries that are coming upon you. 2 ^yYour riches have rotted and ^zyour garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. ^aaYou have laid up treasure ^abin the last days. 4 Behold, ^acthe wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and ^adthe cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of ^aethe Lord of hosts.
