Micah 3:9-11

9 aHear this, you heads of the house of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel,
bwho detest justice
and make crooked all that is straight,
10 cwho build Zion with blood
and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 dIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
eits priests teach for a price;
fits prophets practice divination for money;
gyet they lean on the Lord and hsay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
iNo disaster shall come upon us.”

Micah 7:3-5

3 jTheir hands are on what is evil, to do it well;
kthe prince and lthe judge ask for a bribe,
and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul;
thus they weave it together.
4The best of them is mlike a brier,
the most upright of them a thorn hedge.
The day of nyour watchmen, of your punishment, has come;
onow their confusion is at hand.

Zephaniah 3:1-3

Judgment on Jerusalem and the Nations

she does not draw near to her God.

are roaring lions;
