Micah 3:9-11

9 ^aHear this, you heads of the house of Jacob
and rulers of the house of Israel,
^bwho detest justice
and make crooked all that is straight,
10 ^cwho build Zion with blood
and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11 ^dIts heads give judgment for a bribe;
^eits priests teach for a price;
^fits prophets practice divination for money;
^gyet they lean on the Lord and ^hsay,
“Is not the Lord in the midst of us?
ⁱNo disaster shall come upon us.”

Micah 7:3-5

3 ^jTheir hands are on what is evil, to do it well;
^kthe prince and ^lthe judge ask for a bribe,
and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul;
thus they weave it together.
4 The best of them is ^mlike a brier,
the most upright of them a thorn hedge.
The day of ⁿyour watchmen, of your punishment, has come;
^onow their confusion is at hand.
5 ^pPut no trust in a neighbor;
have no confidence in a friend;
