that the mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and it shall be lifted up above the hills;
and peoples shall flow to it,
2 and many nations shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law, ^{▼▼Or teaching}

Zechariah 2:11

11 ^cAnd many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. ^dAnd I will dwell in your midst, and ^eyou shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

Zechariah 8:20-23

20 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Peoples shall yet come, even the inhabitants of many cities. 21 The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, ^f‘Let us go at once ^gto entreat the favor of the Lord and to seek the Lord of hosts; I myself am going.’ 22 ^hMany peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and ⁱto entreat the favor of the Lord. 23 Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ^jten men ^kfrom the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for ^lwe have heard that God is with you.’”

The Visit of the Wise Men

6 ^w“‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;
for from you shall come a ruler
who will ^xshepherd my people Israel.’”
7 Then Herod summoned the wise men secretly and ascertained from them what time the star had appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child, and when you have found him, bring me word, that I too may come and worship him.” 9 After listening to the king, they went on their way. And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, ^ythey offered him gifts, ^zgold and ^aafrankincense and ^abmyrrh.
