The Ruler to Be Born in Bethlehem

eBut you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah,
who are too little to be among the clans of fJudah,
from you shall come forth for me
one who is to be gruler in Israel,
hwhose coming forth is ifrom of old,
from ancient days.
3Therefore he shall give them up juntil the time
when she who is in labor has given birth;
then kthe rest of his brothers shall return
to the people of Israel.
4And he shall stand land shepherd his flock min the strength of the Lord,
in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God.
And they shall dwell secure, for now nhe shall be great
to the ends of the earth.

Haggai 2:7-9

7And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and oI will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. 8 pThe silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts. 9 qThe latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And rin this place I will give peace, declares the Lord of hosts.’”

Zechariah 11:8-13

8In one month yI destroyed the three shepherds. But I became impatient with them, and they also detested me. 9So I said, “I will not be your shepherd. zWhat is to die, let it die. What is to be destroyed, let it be destroyed. And let those who are left devour the flesh of one another.” 10And I took aamy staff Favor, and I broke it, annulling the covenant that I had made with all the peoples. 11So it was annulled on that day, and the sheep traders, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord. 12Then I said to them, “If it seems good to you, give me my wages; but if not, keep them.” And they weighed out as my wages abthirty pieces of silver. 13Then the Lord said to me, “Throw it to the potter”— acthe lordly price at which I was priced by them. So I took the adthirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord, to the potter.

Zechariah 12:10

Him Whom They Have Pierced

10“And aeI will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and afpleas for mercy, so that, agwhen they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, ahthey shall mourn for him, aias one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.

Zechariah 13:7

The Shepherd Struck

7 Awake, O sword, against ajmy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
akStrike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.

Zechariah 14:4

4 alOn that day his feet shall stand amon anthe Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and aothe Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by apa very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.
