Micah 6:6-8

What Does the Lord Require?

6 ^a“With what shall I come before the Lord,
and bow myself before ^bGod on high?
Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,
with calves a year old?
7 ^cWill the Lord be pleased with ^{▼▼Or Will the Lord accept} thousands of rams,
with ten thousands of rivers of oil?
^eShall I give my firstborn for my transgression,
the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
8 He has told you, O man, what is good;
and ^fwhat does the Lord require of you
but to do justice, and to love kindness, ^{▼▼Or steadfast love}
and to ^hwalk humbly with your God?

Mark 12:33

33 And to love him with all the heart and with all ⁱthe understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, ^jis much more than all ^kwhole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
