Micah 7:18-20

God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion

18 aWho is a God like you, bpardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
cfor the remnant of his inheritance?
dHe does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
19He will eagain have compassion on us;
fhe will tread our iniquities underfoot.
gYou will cast all our
Hebrew their
sins
into the depths of the sea.
20 iYou will show faithfulness to Jacob
and steadfast love to Abraham,
jas you have sworn to our fathers
from the days of old.

Malachi 2:17

The Messenger of the Lord

17 kYou have wearied the Lord with your words. lBut you say, “How have we wearied him?” mBy saying, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and he delights in them.” Or by asking, n“Where is the God of justice?”

Romans 2:2-10

2We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourselfthat you will escape the judgment of God? 4Or do you presume on othe riches of his kindness and pforbearance and qpatience, rnot knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are sstoring up twrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

6 uHe will render to each one according to his works: 7to those who vby patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8but for those who are self-seeking
Or contentious
and xdo not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
9There will be tribulation and distress yfor every human being who does evil, the Jew zfirst and also the Greek, 10but glory and honor and aapeace for everyone who does good, abthe Jew first and also the Greek.
