Micah 7:7-9

7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
^aI will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me.
8 ^bRejoice not over me, O ^cmy enemy;
^dwhen I fall, I shall rise;
^ewhen I sit in darkness,
the Lord will be a light to me.
9 ^fI will bear the indignation of the Lord
because I have sinned against him,
until ^ghe pleads my cause
and executes judgment for me.
^hHe will bring me out to the light;
I shall look upon his vindication.

2 Corinthians 1:8-10

8 For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, ^{▼▼Or brothers and sisters. The plural Greek word adelphoi (translated “brothers”) refers to siblings in a family. In New Testament usage, depending on the context, adelphoi may refer either to men or to both men and women who are siblings (brothers and sisters) in God’s family, the church} of ^jthe affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us ^krely not on ourselves ^lbut on God ^mwho raises the dead. 10 ⁿHe delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. ^oOn him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.
