Nehemiah 11:3

3 aThese are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the towns of Judah beveryone lived on his property in their towns: Israel, the priests, the Levites, cthe temple servants, dand the descendants of Solomon’s servants.

Psalms 107:4

4 Some ewandered in desert wastes,
finding no way fto a city to dwell in;

Psalms 107:36

36And there he lets the hungry dwell,
and they establish ga city to live in;

Jeremiah 31:24

24 hAnd Judah and all its cities shall dwell there together, and ithe farmers and those who wander with their flocks.

Jeremiah 31:38-40

38 jBehold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord kfrom the Tower of Hananel to lthe Corner Gate. 39 mAnd the measuring line shall go out farther, straight to the hill Gareb, and shall then turn to Goah. 40 nThe whole valley of the dead bodies and the ashes, and all the fields as far as the obrook Kidron, to the corner of pthe Horse Gate toward the east, qshall be sacred to the Lord. rIt shall not be plucked up or overthrown anymore forever.”

Jeremiah 33:10-13

10Thus says the Lord: In this place sof which you say, ‘It is a waste without man or beast,’ in the cities of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man or inhabitant or beast, there shall be heard again 11 tthe voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voices of those who sing, as they bring uthank offerings to the house of the Lord:

v“‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
for the Lord is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!’
wFor I will restore the fortunes of the land as at first, says the Lord.

12Thus says the Lord of hosts: xIn this place that is waste, without man or beast, and in all of its cities, there shall again be yhabitations of shepherds zresting their flocks. 13 aaIn the cities of the hill country, abin the cities of the Shephelah, acand in the cities of the Negeb, in the land of Benjamin, adthe places about Jerusalem, aeand in the cities of Judah, afflocks shall again pass under the hands agof the one who counts them, says the Lord.

Hebrews 11:9-10

9By faith he went to live in ahthe land of promise, as in a foreign land, ailiving in tents ajwith Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to akthe city that has alfoundations, amwhose designer and builder is God.

Hebrews 11:16

16But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed anto be called their God, for aohe has prepared for them a city.

Hebrews 12:22

22But you have come to apMount Zion and to the city of the living God, aqthe heavenly Jerusalem, and to arinnumerable angels in festal gathering,
