Nehemiah 13:17-18

17 aThen I confronted the nobles of Judah and said to them, “What is this evil thing that you are doing, bprofaning the Sabbath day? 18 cDid not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this disaster
The Hebrew word can mean evil, harm, or  disaster, depending on the context
on us and on this city? Now you are bringing more wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath.”

Jeremiah 17:27

27But if you do not listen to me, to ekeep the Sabbath day holy, fand not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will gkindle a fire in its gates, and it shall hdevour the palaces of Jerusalem and ishall not be quenched.’”

Ezekiel 20:13

13 jBut the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. kThey did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; land my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.

Ezekiel 20:24

24because they had not obeyed my rules, but had rejected my statutes and profaned my Sabbaths, nand their eyes were set on their fathersidols.

Ezekiel 22:8
