Nehemiah 2:17

17Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, ahow Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer bsuffer derision.”

Rebuilding the Wall

1Then cEliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built dthe Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and eset its doors. They consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the fTower of Hananel. 2And next to him gthe men of Jericho built. And next to them

10Next to them Jedaiah the son of Harumaph repaired opposite his house. And next to him Hattush the son of Hashabneiah repaired. 11Malchijah the son of Harim and Hasshub the son of Pahath-moab repaired another section and xthe Tower of the Ovens. 12Next to him Shallum the son of Hallohesh, yruler of half the district of Jerusalem, repaired, he and his daughters.

13Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired zthe Valley Gate. They rebuilt it and aaset its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and repaired a thousand cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
of the wall, as far as acthe Dung Gate.

14Malchijah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of adBeth-haccherem, repaired aethe Dung Gate. He rebuilt it and afset its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

15And Shallum the son of Col-hozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired agthe Fountain Gate. He rebuilt it and covered it and ahset its doors, its bolts, and its bars. And he built the wall of aithe Pool of Shelah of ajthe king’s garden, as far as akthe stairs that go down from the city of David. 16After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite althe tombs of David, as far as amthe artificial pool, and as far as the house of the mighty men.

Nehemiah 4:3

3 anTobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Yes, what they are buildingaoif a fox goes up on it he will break down their stone wall!”

Nehemiah 4:6

6So we built the wall. And all the wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.

Daniel 9:25

25 apKnow therefore and understand that aqfrom the going out of the word to restore and arbuild Jerusalem to the coming of an asanointed one, a atprince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again

Amos 9:11-15

The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day awI will raise up
the booth of David that is fallen
and repair its breaches,
and raise up its ruins
and rebuild it as in the days of old,
12 axthat they may possess the remnant of Edom
and ayall the nations who are called by my name,”

declares the Lord who does this.
13 Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
ba“when the plowman shall overtake the reaper
and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed;

and all the hills shall flow with it.
14 bcI will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,
and bdthey shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;
bethey shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,
and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 bfI will plant them on their land,
bgand they shall never again be uprooted
out of the land bhthat I have given them,”

says the Lord your God.
