Ezra Reads the Law
1And all the people gathered as one man into the square before dthe Water Gate. And they told eEzra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses that the Lord had commanded Israel.Nehemiah 8:3
3 fAnd he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand. And the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.Nehemiah 8:16
16So the people went out and brought them and made booths for themselves, each gon his roof, and in their courts and in the courts of the house of God, and in the square at hthe Water Gate and in the square at ithe Gate of Ephraim.
