Nehemiah 3:31-32

31After him Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate,
Or Hammiphkad Gate
and to the upper chamber of the corner.
32And between the upper chamber of the corner and bthe Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and the merchants repaired.

Hosea 12:7-8

7 A merchant, in whose hands are cfalse balances,
he loves dto oppress.
8Ephraim has said, “Ah, but eI am rich;
I have found wealth for myself;
in all my labors fthey cannot find in me iniquity or sin.”

11And hthe merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore, 12cargo of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk, scarlet cloth, all kinds of scented wood, all kinds of articles of ivory, all kinds of articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble, 13cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.

lthat was clothed in fine linen,
in purple and scarlet,
adorned with gold,
with jewels, and with pearls!
17For min a single hour all this wealth nhas been laid waste.”
And oall shipmasters and seafaring men, sailors and all whose trade is on the sea, stood far off
18and pcried out qas they saw the smoke of her burning,

rWhat city was like the great city?”
