Now when bSanballat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and greatly enraged, and he jeered at the Jews.
2And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of cSamaria, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves?
Or  Will they commit themselves to God?
Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?”
3 eTobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Yes, what they are buildingfif a fox goes up on it he will break down their stone wall!” 4 gHear, O our God, for we are despised. hTurn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.

Psalms 12:5

5 Because ithe poor are plundered, because the needy groan,
jI will now arise,” says the Lord;
“I will place him in the ksafety for which he longs.”

Psalms 44:13-16

13You have made us lthe taunt of our neighbors,
the derision and mscorn of those around us.
14You have made us na byword among the nations,
oa laughingstock

among the peoples.
15All day long my disgrace is before me,
and qshame has covered my face
16at the sound of the taunter and reviler,
at the sight of rthe enemy and the avenger.

Psalms 79:9-11

9 sHelp us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and tatone for our sins,
for your uname’s sake!
10 vWhy should the nations say,
Where is their God?”
Let wthe avenging of the outpoured blood of your servants
be known among the nations before our eyes!
11 Let xthe groans of the prisoners come before you;
according to your great power, preserve those ydoomed to die!

Isaiah 11:12

and gather the dispersed of Judah
from the four corners of the earth.

clap their hands at you;
