Nehemiah 4:2-4

2And he said in the presence of his brothers and of the army of aSamaria, “What are these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore it for themselves?
Or  Will they commit themselves to God?
Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day? Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, and burned ones at that?”
3 cTobiah the Ammonite was beside him, and he said, “Yes, what they are buildingdif a fox goes up on it he will break down their stone wall!” 4 eHear, O our God, for we are despised. fTurn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.

Job 30:1-9

1“But now they glaugh at me,
men who are hyounger than I,
whose fathers I would have disdained
to set with the dogs of my flock.
2What could I gain from the strength of their hands,
imen whose jvigor is gone?
3Through want and hard hunger
they kgnaw lthe dry ground by night in mwaste and desolation;
4they pick saltwort and the leaves of bushes,
and the roots of the broom tree for their food.

they shout after them as after a thief.
6In the gullies of the torrents they must dwell,
in holes of the earth and of pthe rocks.
7Among the bushes they qbray;
under rthe nettles they huddle together.
8A senseless, a nameless brood,
they have been whipped out of the land.
9 “And now I have become their ssong;
I am ta byword to them.

Psalms 22:6-7

6 But I am ua worm and not a man,
vscorned by mankind and wdespised by the people.
7All who see me xmock me;
they make mouths at me; they ywag their heads;

Psalms 35:15-16

15 But at my stumbling they rejoiced and gathered;
they gathered together against me;
zwretches whom I did not know
tore at me without ceasing;
16like profane mockers at a feast,
The meaning of the Hebrew phrase is uncertain
