4 aHear, O our God, for we are despised. bTurn back their taunt on their own heads and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives. 5 cDo not cover their guilt, and let not their sin be blotted out from your sight, for they have provoked you to anger in the presence of the builders.

20 abShould good be repaid with evil?
Yet acthey have dug a pit for my life.
adRemember how I stood before you
to speak good for them,
to turn away your wrath from them.
21Therefore aedeliver up their children to famine;
give them over to the power of the sword;
let their wives become childless afand widowed.
May their men meet death by pestilence,
their youths be struck down by the sword in battle.

when you bring the plunderer suddenly upon them!
For ahthey have dug a pit to take me

23Yet ajyou, O Lord, know
all their plotting to kill me.
akForgive not their iniquity,
nor blot out their sin from your sight.
Let them be overthrown before you;
deal with them in the time of your anger.
