16 “But they and our fathers ^aacted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments. 17 They refused to obey ^band were not mindful of the wonders that you performed among them, but they stiffened their neck and appointed a leader to return to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God ready to forgive, ^cgracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and did not forsake them.

Nehemiah 9:26

26 ^d“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you ^eand cast your law behind their back ^fand killed your prophets, who ^ghad warned them in order to turn them back to you, ^hand they committed great blasphemies.

Nehemiah 9:29

29 ⁱAnd you warned them in order to turn them back to your law.
