Nehemiah 9:32

32Now, therefore, our God, athe great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love, let not all the hardship seem little to you that has come upon us, upon our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and all your people, bsince the time of the kings of Assyria until this day.

Nehemiah 9:37

37 cAnd its rich yield goes to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins. They rule over our bodies and over our livestock as they please, and we are in great distress.

Isaiah 5:26-30

26 He will draise a signal for nations far away,
and ewhistle for them ffrom the ends of the earth;
and behold, quickly, speedily they come!
27 gNone is weary, none stumbles,
none slumbers or sleeps,
not a waistband is loose,
not a sandal strap broken;
28 htheir arrows are sharp,
all their bows bent,
their horseshoofs seem like flint,
and their wheels ilike the whirlwind.
29Their roaring is like a lion,
like young lions they roar;
they growl and jseize their prey;
they carry it off, and none can rescue.
30They will growl over it on that day,
like the growling of the sea.
And if one looks to the land,
behold, kdarkness and distress;
and the light is darkened by its clouds.

Isaiah 7:18-20

18In that day the Lord will lwhistle for the fly that is at the end of the streams of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. 19And they will all come and settle in the steep ravines, and min the clefts of the rocks, and on all the thornbushes, and on all the pastures.
Or watering holes, or brambles

20In that day othe Lord will pshave with a razor that is qhired beyond rthe River—with the king of Assyria—the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.
