Nehemiah 9:9-12

9 a“And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard btheir cry at the Red Sea, 10 cand performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that dthey acted arrogantly against our fathers. And eyou made a name for yourself, as it is to this day. 11 fAnd you divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on dry land, and you cast their pursuers into the depths, gas a stone into mighty waters. 12By ha pillar of cloud you led them in the day, and by a pillar of fire in the night to light for them the way in which they should go.

16 When nthe waters saw you, O God,
when the waters saw you, they were afraid;
indeed, the deep trembled.
17The clouds poured out water;
the skies ogave forth thunder;
your parrows flashed on every side.
18 qThe crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind;
ryour lightnings lighted up the world;
the earth strembled and shook.
19Your tway was through the sea,
your path through the great waters;

and their flocks to thunderbolts.
49He let loose on them his burning anger,
wrath, indignation, and distress,
a company of andestroying angels.
50He made a path for his anger;
he did not spare them from death,
but gave their lives over to the plague.
51He struck down every aofirstborn in Egypt,
the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of apHam.
52Then he led out his people aqlike sheep
and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.
53 arHe led them in safety, so that they aswere not afraid,
but atthe sea overwhelmed their enemies.

8Yet he saved them bqfor his name’s sake,
brthat he might make known his mighty power.
9He bsrebuked the Red Sea, and it btbecame dry,
and he buled them through the deep as through a desert.
10So he bvsaved them from the hand of the foe
and bwredeemed them from the power of the enemy.
11And bxthe waters covered their adversaries;
not one of them was left.
