The Silver Trumpets

1The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2Make two silver trumpets. Of hammered work you shall make them, and you shall use them for asummoning the congregation and for breaking camp. 3And when bboth are blown, all the congregation shall gather themselves to you at the entrance of the tent of meeting. 4But if they blow only one, then cthe chiefs, the heads of the tribes of Israel, shall gather themselves to you. 5When you blow an alarm, dthe camps that are on the east side shall set out. 6And when you blow an alarm the second time, ethe camps that are on the south side shall set out. An alarm is to be blown whenever they are to set out. 7But when the assembly is to be gathered together, fyou shall blow a long blast, but you shall not gsound an alarm. 8 hAnd the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets. The trumpets shall be to you for a perpetual statute throughout your generations. 9And iwhen you go to war in your land against the adversary who joppresses you, then you shall ksound an alarm with the trumpets, that you may be lremembered before the Lord your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.

1 Chronicles 15:24

24Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, should mblow the trumpets before the ark of God. nObed-edom and Jehiah were to be gatekeepers for the ark.

1 Chronicles 16:6

6and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests were to blow trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

42Heman and Jeduthun had trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments ofor sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to the gate.

12Behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests uwith their battle trumpets to sound the call to battle against you. O sons of Israel, vdo not fight against the Lord, the God of your fathers, for you cannot succeed.”

2 Chronicles 13:14

14And when Judah looked, behold, the battle was in front of and behind them. wAnd they cried to the Lord, and the priests xblew the trumpets.
