Numbers 11:25-29

25Then athe Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.

26Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those registered, but they bhad not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. 27And a young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.” 28And cJoshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, “My lord Moses, dstop them.” 29But Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? eWould that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”

1 Samuel 10:5-6

5After that you shall come to fGibeath-elohim,
 Gibeath-elohim means the hill of God
hwhere there is a garrison of the Philistines. And there, as soon as you come to the city, you will meet a group of prophets coming down ifrom the high place with harp, tambourine, flute, and lyre before them, prophesying.
6 jThen the Spirit of the Lord will rush upon you, kand you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.

1 Samuel 10:10-13

10When they came to lGibeah,
 Gibeah means the hill
behold, a group of prophets met him, nand the Spirit of God rushed upon him, and he prophesied among them.
11And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another, “What has come over the son of Kish? oIs Saul also among the prophets?” 12And a man of the place answered, p“And who is their father?” Therefore it became a proverb, q“Is Saul also among the prophets?” 13When he had finished prophesying, he came to the high place.

1 Samuel 19:20-24

20Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, rthe Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, sand they also prophesied. 21When it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, tand they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, uand they also prophesied. 22Then he himself went to Ramah and came to the great well that is in Secu. And he asked, “Where are Samuel and David?” And one said, “Behold, they are at Naioth in vRamah.” 23And he went there to Naioth in Ramah. wAnd the Spirit of God came upon him also, and as he went he prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24 xAnd he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay naked all that day and all that night. Thus it is said, y“Is Saul also among the prophets?”

Acts 19:6

6And zwhen Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and aathey began speaking in tongues and abprophesying.

1 Corinthians 11:4

4Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head,

1 Thessalonians 4:8

8Therefore acwhoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, adwho gives his Holy Spirit to you.
