Numbers 11:25-29

25Then athe Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him, and took some of the Spirit that was on him and put it on the seventy elders. And as soon as the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied. But they did not continue doing it.

26Now two men remained in the camp, one named Eldad, and the other named Medad, and the Spirit rested on them. They were among those registered, but they bhad not gone out to the tent, and so they prophesied in the camp. 27And a young man ran and told Moses, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.” 28And cJoshua the son of Nun, the assistant of Moses from his youth, said, “My lord Moses, dstop them.” 29But Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? eWould that all the Lord’s people were prophets, that the Lord would put his Spirit on them!”

1 Corinthians 14:3-5

3On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. 4The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. 5Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but leven more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.

1 Corinthians 14:24-25

24But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all, 25 mthe secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, nfalling on his face, he will worship God and odeclare that God is really among you.

1 Corinthians 14:37

37 pIf anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 14:39

39So, my brothers, qearnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

1 Thessalonians 5:20

20Do not despise rprophecies,

1 Timothy 4:14
