Numbers 11:31-34

Quail and a Plague

31Then a awind from the Lord sprang up, and it brought quail from the sea and let them fall beside the camp, about a day’s journey on this side and a day’s journey on the other side, around the camp, and about two cubits
A  cubit was about 18 inches or 45 centimeters
above the ground.
32And the people rose all that day and all night and all the next day, and gathered the quail. Those who gathered least gathered ten chomers.
A  homer was about 6 bushels or 220 liters
And they spread them out for themselves all around the camp.
33 eWhile the meat was yet between their teeth, before it was consumed, the anger of the Lord was kindled against the people, and fthe Lord struck down the people with a very great plague. 34Therefore the name of that place was called gKibroth-hattaavah,
 Kibroth-hattaavah means graves of craving
because there they buried the people who had the craving.

for he gave them what they jcraved.
30But before they had satisfied their craving,
kwhile the food was still in their mouths,
31the anger of God rose against them,
and he killed lthe strongest of them
and laid low mthe young men of Israel.

Isaiah 10:16

16Therefore the Lord God of hosts
will send wasting sickness among his nstout warriors,
and under his glory oa burning will be kindled,
like the burning of fire.

Isaiah 24:16

16 pFrom the ends of the earth we hear songs of praise,
of glory to qthe Righteous One.
But I say, “I waste away,

For rthe traitors have betrayed,
with betrayal the traitors have betrayed.”
