Ezekiel 1

Ezekiel in Babylon

1 cIn the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by dthe Chebar canal, ethe heavens were opened, and I saw fvisions of God.
Or from God
2On the fifth day of the month (it was hthe fifth year of ithe exile of King Jehoiachin), 3the word of the Lord came to Ezekiel jthe priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by kthe Chebar canal, and lthe hand of the Lord was upon him there.

The Glory of the Lord

4As I looked, behold, ma stormy wind came nout of the north, and a great cloud, with obrightness around it, and fire flashing forth continually, and in the midst of the fire, pas it were gleaming metal.
Or amber; also verse 27
5And from the midst of it came the likeness of rfour living creatures. sAnd this was their appearance: they had a human likeness, 6 tbut each had four faces, and each of them had four wings. 7Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf’s foot. And they sparkled ulike burnished bronze. 8Under their wings von their four sides wthey had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus: 9their wings touched one another. xEach one of them went straight forward, ywithout turning as they went. 10As for the likeness of their faces, zeach had a human face. The four had the face of a lion on the right side, the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and the four had the face of an eagle. 11Such were their faces. And their wings were spread out above. Each creature had two wings, each of which touched the wing of another, while aatwo covered their bodies. 12 abAnd each went straight forward. acWherever the spirit
Or Spirit; also twice in verse 20 and once in verse 21
would go, they went, without turning as they went.
13As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was aelike burning coals of fire, aflike the appearance of torches moving to and fro among the living creatures. agAnd the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. 14And the living creatures ahdarted to and fro, ailike the appearance of a flash of lightning.

15 ajNow as I looked at the living creatures, I saw a wheel on the earth beside the living creatures, one for each of the four of them.
Hebrew of their faces
16 alAs for the appearance of the wheels and their construction: their appearance was like amthe gleaming of beryl. anAnd the four had the same likeness, their appearance and construction being as it were a wheel within a wheel. 17 aoWhen they went, they went apin any of their four directions
Hebrew on their four sides
arwithout turning as they went.
18And their rims were tall and awesome, asand the rims of all four were full of eyes all around. 19 atAnd when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; auand when the living creatures rose from the earth, the wheels rose. 20 avWherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, and the wheels rose along with them, awfor the spirit of the living creatures
Or  the spirit of life; also verse 21
was in the wheels.
21 ayWhen those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; azand when those rose from the earth, the wheels rose along with them, bafor the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.

22Over the heads of the living creatures there was bbthe likeness of an expanse, shining like awe-inspiring bccrystal, spread out above their heads. 23And under the expanse their wings were bdstretched out straight, one toward another. beAnd each creature had two wings covering its body. 24And when they went, I heard the sound of their wings bflike the sound of many waters, like bgthe sound of the bhAlmighty, a sound of tumult bilike the sound of an army. When they stood still, they let down their wings. 25And there came a voice from above bjthe expanse over their heads. When they stood still, they let down their wings.

26And above the expanse over their heads there was bkthe likeness of a throne, blin appearance bmlike sapphire;
Or lapis lazuli
and seated above the likeness of a throne was boa likeness with a human appearance.
27And bpupward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were bqgleaming metal, like the appearance of fire enclosed all around. And downward from what had the appearance of his waist I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and brthere was brightness around him.
Or it
28Like the appearance of btthe bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around.

Such was the appearance of the likeness of buthe glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, bvI fell on my face, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

Ezekiel 11:24

24 bwAnd the Spirit lifted me up and brought me bxin the vision by the Spirit of God byinto Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Daniel 10:5-10

5 bzI lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, caa man clothed in linen, cbwith a belt of fine ccgold from Uphaz around his waist. 6His body was like cdberyl, his face celike the appearance of lightning, cfhis eyes like flaming torches, his arms and cglegs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and chthe sound of his words like the sound of a multitude. 7 ciAnd I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision, but a great trembling fell upon them, and they fled to hide themselves. 8So I was left alone and saw this great vision, and cjno strength was left in me. My radiant appearance was fearfully changed,
Hebrew  My splendor was changed to ruin
cland I retained no strength.
9Then I heard the sound of his words, cmand as I heard the sound of his words, I fell on my face in deep sleep cnwith my face to the ground.

10And behold, coa hand touched me and set me trembling on my hands and knees.

Joel 2:28-29

Acts 9:10-17

10Now there was a disciple at Damascus named cvAnanias. The Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias.” And he said, cwHere I am, Lord.” 11And the Lord said to him, Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man cxof Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and cylay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.” 13But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, czhow much evil he has done to dayour dbsaints at Jerusalem. 14And here he has authority from dcthe chief priests to bind all who ddcall on your name.” 15But the Lord said to him, Go, for dehe is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name dfbefore the Gentiles and dgkings and the children of Israel. 16For dhI will show him how much dihe must suffer djfor the sake of my name.” 17So dkAnanias departed and entered the house. And dllaying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and dmbe filled with the Holy Spirit.”
