31 aThen the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.”

Rebuilding Begins Anew

1Now the prophets, bHaggai and cZechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel who was over them. 2 dThen Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and eJeshua the son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the house of God that is in Jerusalem, and the prophets of God were fwith them, supporting them.

Nehemiah 4:10

10In Judah it was said,

“The strength of those who bear the burdens is failing. There is too much rubble. By ourselves we will not be able to rebuild the wall.”
