Numbers 14:20-23

God Promises Judgment

20Then the Lord said, “I have pardoned, aaccording to your word. 21But truly, as I live, and as all bthe earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord, 22 cnone of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to the test these dten times and have not obeyed my voice, 23 eshall see the land that I swore to give to their fathers. And none of those who despised me shall see it.

Numbers 14:25

25 fNow, since the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valleys, gturn tomorrow and set out for the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea.”

Numbers 14:27-30

27How long shall hthis wicked congregation grumble against me? iI have heard the grumblings of the people of Israel, which they grumble against me. 28Say to them, j‘As I live, declares the Lord, kwhat you have said in my hearing I will do to you: 29 lyour dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, and mof all your number, listed in the census nfrom twenty years old and upward, who have grumbled against me, 30not one shall come into the land where I oswore that I would make you dwell, pexcept Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

Numbers 14:35

35 qI, the Lord, have spoken. Surely this will I do to all rthis wicked congregation who are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall come to a full end, and there they shall die.”

Numbers 32:10-13

10 sAnd the Lord’s anger was kindled on that day, and he swore, saying, 11Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, tfrom twenty years old and upward, shall see the land that I swore to give uto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, because they have not wholly followed me, 12none except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the vKenizzite and Joshua the son of Nun, for wthey have wholly followed the Lord.’ 13And the Lord’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them xwander in the wilderness forty years, until yall the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone.

Deuteronomy 2:14

14And the time from our leaving aaKadesh-barnea until we crossed abthe brook Zered was thirty-eight years, acuntil the entire generation, that is, the men of war, had perished from the camp, as the Lord had sworn to them.

Hebrews 3:18-19

18And to whom did he swear that adthey would not enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? 19So we see that aethey were unable to enter because of unbelief.

Hebrews 4:3

3For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,

afAs I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest,’”
although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.
