Numbers 14:21-23
21But truly, as I live, and as all athe earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord, 22 bnone of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and yet have put me to the test these cten times and have not obeyed my voice, 23 dshall see the land that I swore to give to their fathers. And none of those who despised me shall see it.Deuteronomy 29:24-28
24all the nations ewill say, f‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ 25Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. 27Therefore the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, gbringing upon it all the curses written in this book, 28and the Lord huprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and icast them into another land, as they are this day.’1 Kings 9:7-9
7 jthen I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, kand the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, land Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 8And this house will become a heap of ruins. ▼▼Syriac, Old Latin; Hebrew will become high
Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, n‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’ 9Then they will say, ‘Because othey abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’” Ezekiel 20:48
48 pAll flesh shall see that I the Lord have kindled it; it shall not be quenched.”
