Numbers 14:23

23 ashall see the land that I swore to give to their fathers. And none of those who despised me shall see it.

Numbers 14:35

35 bI, the Lord, have spoken. Surely this will I do to all cthis wicked congregation who are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall come to a full end, and there they shall die.”

1 Samuel 2:30-32

30Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: d‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ ebut now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 31Behold, fthe days are coming when I will cut off your strength and the strength of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house. 32Then gin distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, hand there shall not be an old man in your house forever.

1 Samuel 13:13-14

13And Samuel said to Saul, i“You have done foolishly. jYou have not kept the command of the Lord your God, with which he commanded you. For then the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14But now kyour kingdom shall not continue. 1 Samuel 15:26-28

1 Kings 11:31

31And he said to Jeroboam, “Take for yourself ten pieces, for thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘Behold, rI am about to tear the kingdom from the hand of Solomon and will give you ten tribes

1 Kings 12:15-16

15So the king did not listen to the people, for sit was a turn of affairs brought about by the Lord that he might fulfill his word, which tthe Lord spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

The Kingdom Divided

16And when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, “What portion do we have in David? We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse. uTo your tents, O Israel! Look now to your own house, David.” So Israel went to their tents.

1 Kings 12:20

20And when all Israel heard that Jeroboam had returned, they sent and called him to the assembly and made him king over all Israel. There was none that followed the house of David but vthe tribe of Judah only.
