Numbers 14:31-35
31 aBut your little ones, who you said would become a prey, I will bring in, and they shall know the land that byou have rejected. 32But as for you, cyour dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness. 33And your children dshall be shepherds in the wilderness eforty years and shall fsuffer for your faithlessness, until the last of your dead bodies lies in the wilderness. 34 gAccording to the number of the days in which you spied out the land, hforty days, a year for each day, you shall bear your iniquity forty years, and you shall know my displeasure.’ 35 iI, the Lord, have spoken. Surely this will I do to all jthis wicked congregation who are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall come to a full end, and there they shall die.”Deuteronomy 1:20-21
20And I said to you, ‘You have come to the hill country of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is giving us. 21See, the Lord your God has set the land before you. Go up, take possession, as the Lord, the God of your fathers, has told you. kDo not fear or be dismayed.’Deuteronomy 1:39
39And as for lyour little ones, who you said would become a prey, and your children, who today mhave no knowledge of good or evil, they shall go in there. And to them I will give it, and they shall possess it.
