37the men who brought up a bad report of the landadied by plague before the Lord.

Numbers 16:28-35

28And Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been bof my own accord. 29If these men die as all men die, or if they are visited by the fate of all mankind, cthen the Lord has not sent me. 30But if the Lord creates something new, and dthe ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they ego down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”

31 fAnd as soon as he had finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split apart. 32And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and gall the people who belonged to Korah and all their goods. 33So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and hthey perished from the midst of the assembly. 34And all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!” 35And ifire came out from the Lord and consumed jthe 250 men offering the incense.

Numbers 29:32

32“On the seventh day seven bulls, two rams, fourteen male lambs a year old without blemish,

Deuteronomy 13:5-11

5But kthat prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. lSo you shall purge the evil

7some sof the gods of the peoples who are around you, whether near you or far off from you, from the one end of the earth to the other, 8you shall tnot yield to him or listen to him, nor ushall your eye pity him, nor shall you spare him, nor shall you conceal him. 9But you shall kill him. vYour hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. 10 wYou shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 11And xall Israel shall hear and fear and never again do any such wickedness as this among you.

Jeremiah 20:6

6And you, yPashhur, and all who dwell in your house, shall go into captivity. To Babylon you shall go, and there you shall die, and there you shall be buried, you and all your friends, zto whom you have prophesied falsely.”

Jeremiah 28:3

3 aaWithin abtwo years I will bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord’s house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.
