Numbers 16:28-30

28And Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been aof my own accord. 29If these men die as all men die, or if they are visited by the fate of all mankind, bthen the Lord has not sent me. 30But if the Lord creates something new, and cthe ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they dgo down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”

1 Kings 18:36-38

36And at the time of ethe offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, fGod of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that gyou are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that hI have done all these things at your word. 37Answer me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you have turned their hearts back.” 38 iThen the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt offering and the wood and the stones and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

2 Kings 2:23-24

23He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” 24And he turned around, and when he saw them, lhe cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys.

2 Chronicles 36:16

16 mBut they kept mocking the messengers of God, ndespising his words and scoffing at his prophets, ountil the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy.
