Numbers 16:28-35

28And Moses said, “Hereby you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, and that it has not been aof my own accord. 29If these men die as all men die, or if they are visited by the fate of all mankind, bthen the Lord has not sent me. 30But if the Lord creates something new, and cthe ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they dgo down alive into Sheol, then you shall know that these men have despised the Lord.”

31 eAnd as soon as he had finished speaking all these words, the ground under them split apart. 32And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and fall the people who belonged to Korah and all their goods. 33So they and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol, and the earth closed over them, and gthey perished from the midst of the assembly. 34And all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up!” 35And hfire came out from the Lord and consumed ithe 250 men offering the incense.

1 Kings 22:28

28And Micaiah said, “If you return in peace, jthe Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, kHear, all you peoples!”

2 Kings 1:9-13

9Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty men with his fifty. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, l“O man of God, the king says, ‘Come down.’” 10But Elijah answered the captain of fifty, “If I am a man of God, mlet fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty.” Then fire came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.

11Again the king sent to him another captain of fifty men with his fifty. And he answered and said to him, “O man of God, this is the king’s order, ‘Come down quickly!’” 12But Elijah answered them, “If I am a man of God, nlet fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty.” Then the fire of God came down from heaven and consumed him and his fifty.

13Again the king sent the captain of a third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up and came and fell on his knees before Elijah and entreated him, “O man of God, please let my life, and the life of these fifty servants of yours, obe precious in your sight.

2 Kings 2:23-25

23He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” 24And he turned around, and when he saw them, phe cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. 25From there he went on to qMount Carmel, and from there he returned rto Samaria.

Proverbs 21:30

30 sNo wisdom, no understanding, no counsel
can avail against the Lord.

8For even if I boast a little too much of tour authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed.

2 Corinthians 13:10

10For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come uI may not have to be vsevere in my use of wthe authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.
