Numbers 16:9-10

9is it atoo small a thing for you that the God of Israel has bseparated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do service in the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them, 10and that he has brought you near him, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you? And would you seek the priesthood also?

Numbers 25:12-13

12Therefore say, cBehold, I give to him my covenant of peace, 13and it shall be to him and to dhis descendants after him the covenant of ea perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

1 Samuel 2:30

30Therefore the Lord, the God of Israel, declares: f‘I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,’ gbut now the Lord declares: ‘Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Malachi 2:4-8

Malachi 2:10-12

Judah Profaned the Covenant

10Have we not all sone Father? Has not tone God created us? Why then are we ufaithless to one another, profaning the covenant of our fathers? 11Judah has been vfaithless, and abomination has been committed in Israel and in Jerusalem. For wJudah has profaned the sanctuary of the Lord, which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god. 12May the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob any descendant
