Numbers 17:12-13

12And the people of Israel said to Moses, “Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone. 13 aEveryone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the Lord, shall die. Are we all to perish?”

Numbers 24:8-10

1 Samuel 16:4-5

4Samuel did what the Lord commanded and came to Bethlehem. The elders of the city jcame to meet him trembling and said, k“Do you come peaceably?” 5And he said, “Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. lConsecrate yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

18And she said to Elijah, mWhat have you against me, O nman of God? You have come to me to bring my sin to remembrance and to cause the death of my son!”

Beware of the Leaven of the Pharisees

1In the meantime, qwhen so many thousands of the people had gathered together that they were trampling one another, he began to say to his disciples first, rBeware of sthe leaven of the Pharisees, twhich is hypocrisy. 2 uNothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
