Numbers 17:12-13

12 And the people of Israel said to Moses, “Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone. 13 ^aEveryone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of the Lord, shall die. Are we all to perish?”

Job 15:21-22

21 ^bDreadful sounds are in his ears;
in ^cprosperity the destroyer will come upon him.
22 He does not believe that he will return out of darkness,

Isaiah 7:2

Isaiah 28:14-15

A Cornerstone in Zion

and with Sheol we have an agreement,
when the ⁱoverwhelming whip passes through
it will not come to us,
for we have made ^jlies our refuge,
and in falsehood we have taken shelter”;

Isaiah 28:17-22

17 And I will make justice ^kthe line,
and righteousness ^lthe plumb line;
and hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
and waters will overwhelm the shelter.”
18 Then ^myour covenant with death will be annulled,
and your agreement with Sheol will not stand;
when the overwhelming scourge passes through,
you will be beaten down by it.
19 As often as it passes through it will take you;
ⁿfor morning by morning it will pass through,
by day and by night;
and it will be ^osheer terror to understand the message.
20 For the bed is too short to stretch oneself on,
and the covering too narrow to wrap oneself in.
21 For the Lord will rise up ^pas on Mount Perazim;
^qas in the Valley of ^rGibeon he will be roused;
to do his deed—strange is his deed!
and to work his work—alien is his work!
22 Now therefore do not ^sscoff,
lest your bonds be made strong;
for I have heard ^ta decree of destruction
from the Lord God of hosts against the whole land.

prophesy illusions,
11 leave the way, turn aside from the path,
let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel.”
