Numbers 18:21-24

21 a“To the Levites I have given every tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service that they do, their service in the tent of meeting, 22 bso that the people of Israel do not come near the tent of meeting, clest they bear sin and die. 23But dthe Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, eand they shall bear their iniquity. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, and among the people of Israel they shall have no inheritance. 24For the tithe of the people of Israel, which fthey present as a contribution to the Lord, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance. Therefore I have said of them that they shall have no inheritance gamong the people of Israel.”

Deuteronomy 12:17-19

17You may not eat within your towns hthe tithe of your grain or of your wine or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, or any of your vow offerings that you vow, or your freewill offerings or the contribution that you present, 18but iyou shall eat them before the Lord your God in jthe place that the Lord your God will choose, you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your towns. And kyou shall rejoice before the Lord your God in all that you undertake. 19 lTake care that you do not neglect the Levite as long as you live in your land.

Luke 10:1-8

Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two

1After this the Lord appointed mseventy-two

others and osent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.
2 pAnd he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. qTherefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. 3Go your way; rbehold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 sCarry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and tgreet no one on the road. 5Whatever house you enter, first say, uPeace be to this house!’ 6And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest upon him. But if not, vit will return to you. 7And remain in the same house, eating and drinking what they provide, for wthe laborer deserves his wages. Do not go from house to house. 8Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

12We ask you, brothers, xto respect those who labor among you and yare over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. zBe at peace among yourselves.
