Numbers 18:7-8

7 And ^ayou and your sons with you shall guard your priesthood for all that concerns the altar and ^bthat is within the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood as a gift, ^{▼▼Hebrew service of gift} and ^dany outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

8 Then the Lord spoke to Aaron, “Behold, ^eI have given you charge of the contributions made to me, all the consecrated things of the people of Israel. I have given them to you ^fas a portion and to your sons as a perpetual due.

Deuteronomy 33:8-10

8 And ^gof Levi he said,

and your Urim to your godly one,
^jwhom you tested at Massah,
with whom you quarreled at the waters of Meribah;

and ignored his children.
For ^lthey observed your word
and kept your covenant.
10 ^mThey shall teach Jacob your rules
and Israel your law;
ⁿthey shall put incense before you
and ^owhole burnt offerings on your altar.
